The Mouse Connection - known below as TMC
Q. How do I get people to my event?
A. Although TMC announces your event in
our newsletters and/or interactive forums and posts on
our Calendar of Events, the invitations and advertising
of your event is your responsibility.
TIPS: You can advertise on message boards,
online newsletters, print newspapers and newsletters,
invitations, your website, and on interactive forums
that allow this type of post.
Also make a small banner/button and ask people to put it
on friends websites!
Q. What if my sales aren't that great?
A. That is certainly a possibility. The
majority of our parties have been successful.
Those that were not were usually the result of poor
pre-planning and lack of guest interaction. Remember you
need to Promote Promote Promote!
We will gladly add it to our calendar but like offline
parties you need to make every effort to plan
ahead!
* *Most people who post their parties on Yahoo groups
saying " Party in 1 hour!"
Get few results! Plan ahead and post ahead of time!
Q.
What happens if I don't consider my event a success?
A. An online event is the same as if you were
to hold your event in person.
The difference is that you didn't have to leave your
house to hold your event.
Every event, to be successful, takes effort on the
hostess' part.
Be sure to plan ahead and make your event a success!
Q.
Why not use just a free chat room?*
A: The Mouse Connection has the
experience to provide a professional look to your
viewers. We also make it possible to chat while
viewing additional pages, products, materials, etc.
We direct all of your ordering through our secure server
Using a free chat room/server, the stability of the site
is not guaranteed.
Meaning, it could be gone one day without any notice.
Most free type chat rooms and/or sites have standard
banners that you must have pop-up prior or during your
event. You want to keep people at your party, not
have them distracted or directed to another site!
We use a professional chat server which gives you and/or
the moderator various beneficial options to use during
your event. *Basic Interface Rooms are excluded
from above statements.
Q:
What's a Moderated Event?
A: Our Moderator greets your guests and
is present to offer assistance in navigating through the
party or event, allowing you to focus on your guests
instead of room instructions. The Moderator can also
help you keep things on track and will (upon your
request) ask anyone who is disruptive to leave the room.
Q:
What about playing games at my event?
A: Playing party games online is a lot
of fun! There are many ways that you can do this.
You can either theme your party around a Bingo Game or
have a simple game or two by playing word scramble or
search the catalog type game. Be creative and have
fun with your guests! Be sure to stop by our
sister site, The
Network Of Connections and grab a few free games to
play at your party! We also have some her at TMC
Q:
What if my party is a failure?
A: Again, that is possible, just as it
would be possible at a physical party. Although TMC is
not responsible for less than successful parties (unless
of a server failure only), we encourage you to do as
many invites as you can. Not every single party is a
success - and usually it was due to lack of invites, and
attendance.
Q:
How do I accept credit cards?
A: You can accept credit cards only
if you are currently accepting them. Your order form
will have an area to capture that information, and the
order will be sent from our server straight to
you. We recommend that No one EVER puts their credit
card information on any TMC forms! You may accept credit cards through
PayPal among other sources avail be to online
businesses. Merchant Accounts
are avail be to Momoack Members on their website through First Data.
Q: Don't have a free PayPal account?
A: Get one here for free PLUS, they'll
give you $5 for signing up!

Q:
Server Uptime Guarantee?
A: Although there is not a
guarantee in regards to the internet, we at TMC do
guarantee to rebook your party at no charge within 2
weeks if there is a failure with our own equipment.
This does not apply to ISP providers, or guests personal
computers not allowing them to enter, etc.
